The Digital Futures Commission has now concluded. Our new project is the Digital Futures for Children centre, joint with 5Rights Foundation and London School of Economics and Political Science.

Join us for the launch of the Digital Futures Commission’s latest report in its 2022 Education Data series

For the past year, a team of lawyers and social scientists have consulted widely with experts and end-users – including schools and children – to develop a socio-legal analysis of two prominent EdTech service providers. The results are compelling, raising issues of governance, equity and safety.

As kids prepare to head back to school, join us for the online launch event on Wednesday 31st August, with speakers including:

  • Baroness Beeban Kidron, Founder of 5Rights Foundation
  • Prof. Sonia Livingstone OBE, LSE Professor, Research Lead at the DFC and report author
  • Louise Hooper, Barrister at Garden Court Chambers and report author
  • Michael Veale, Associate Professor in digital rights and regulation at UCL
